Description

Managing Forests for the Future: Stewardship on the NHAL State Forest and the Discovery Center. NHAL State Forest Team Leader Tom Shockley and NHAL Forester Ben Broquard will speak regarding sustainable forest management at and around the North Lakeland Discovery Center. Past, present and future management will be discussed along with steps taken to reduce impacts of harvests. We will discuss the how’s and why of forest management along with the potential benefits for wildlife and ecosystem health.
