Description

Join Frank B. Koller Library Director Callie as we reveal the latest story along StoryWalk Trail, Leaf by Sandra Dieckmann. When a polar bear arrives unexpectedly in the woods, the animals fear and avoid him, suspecting him to be dangerous - and his habit of collecting leaves only adds to their distrust. Then one day, they watch as he attempts to fly over the water with wings made of colorful leaves...just trying to go home.  Maybe he needs some help? This is a program that connects literacy and outdoor recreation by placing a children’s nature-themed story out along the trail.  We will walk and read the new book together, followed by a fun craft! This program is great for kids aged 4-7 – parents are asked to stay with their children and participate.

Please register the child/children names only.  Registration is required by 8/12/25.  These programs are free of charge and are sponsored by the Shepherd/Howells Fund and the Frank B. Koller Memorial Library.  Participants will meet at the Teal Cabin at the Discovery Center.   Wednesday 10 AM - 11 AM.
