Trumpeter Swan Unveiling In Discovery Hall

Join us between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Discovery Hall on Saturday, February 15th  to see our new installment: a trumpeter swan!

Discovery Center naturalist and self-taught taxidermist Aidan, with the help of 2024 Woods and Water summer staff AJ Johnson, taxidermized the swan last summer. The swan was found deceased by a member of the Department of Natural Resources on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage in March 2024.

Swan activities and snacks will be provided from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during Discovery Hall hours, and Aidan will have a Taxidermy Talk at 10:15 a.m. From 12:00 pm to 1:00 p.m., join Aidan for a Swan Spotlight Hour to learn all about swans.
