Explore the natural world through outdoor adventures. Depending on the season, we will hike, bike, ski or snowshoe while learning from Northwoods experts – naturalists, historians, geologists – in an engaging, recreational approach to nature education.

Hit the trails and enjoy a spot of tea with a naturalist! Participants will explore the Discovery Center trails and hike (or snowshoe) approximately 3 miles on our Northern Cruise trail. Depending on conditions, we may meander our way into Statehouse bog to explore bog plants and creatures that dwell there. Following the excursion, participants are invited to socialize while enjoying tea in the Discovery Center's Historic YCC lodge.

Participants should be prepared for an approximately 3 mile trek, wear appropriate attire and footwear. If needed, Discovery Center will provide snowshoes to members for free and an additional fee at $3/pair for non-members. Trail conditions and additional directions will be communicated via email to all program participants.

Registration is required by 3/30/25. Tuesday 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. $15/Non-Member, $12/Member.
