Description

Join us for the first ever Bat Fest at the Discovery Center to be held on October 19th from 4 to 7pm! This FREE event will be a celebration of bats and other nocturnal animals featuring activities including live bat programs, critter crafts, educational nocturnal animal activities, cookie decorating, and bat detector demonstrations. Walk through a replica bat cave or enjoy a candlelit hike followed by s’mores and a campfire.

Tentative schedule is as follows:

· 4:00-6pm: Self-led Critters of the Night Activities

· 4:30-4:45pm: “Bats in the Library” Storywalk with Kohler Library Director Callie

· 5:00-5:30pm: Bat Talk with Naturalist Licia and Animal Ambassador Edgar

·   6:00-7:00pm: Candelit Hike & S’mores

Registration is not required but greatly appreciated by 10/18!  This event will be held at the North Lakeland Discovery Center.
