Two-Part Soy Wax Batik and Dyeing Workshop with Darcy Lanz-Sage (Part 1 and Part 2)

Join artist Darcy Lanz-Sage for this fun 2-part workshop. 

PART 1:  Participants will learn the basics of batik.  In the first session, they will dye fabric (or cloth napkins).  Then during the 2nd session, they will use soy wax to batik a pattern onto their fabric.  Once the wax has been applied, the fabric will again be dyed.  Each participant will “Batik” 4 fabric fat quarters or cloth napkins.  The instructor will provide all the materials and supplies.  When registering, please indicate whether you want cloth napkins or plain fabric.  Fabric can be used to make pillows, used in quilts, made into book covers, and more!  

Participants must register for Part 1 in order to attend Part 2.  The fee for registration includes both Part 1 and Part 2.  Part 2 is scheduled for Monday, June 24, 2024, from 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM.  If you register for Part 1, you will automatically be registered for Part 2.  Registration is required by 6/15/24.
