Summary

It is no secret the Northwoods is rich in water resources. These programs and experiences will get you on (and sometimes in!) local lakes and rivers, educating you on their fascinating link to local history and lore, ecology and importance.

Description

Join our Woods and Water team for a paddling endeavor down the Manitowish River. We will learn about freshwater ecology and the importance of a vibrant and healthy freshwater ecosystem. We will share our knowledge about the ecological importance of the Manitowish River and stop several times to snorkel and explore the river bottom for freshwater mussels. Canoes, life vests, and snorkels will be provided. Children 12 and up are welcome to attend. 

 

An email will be sent to registered participants with directions to the launch site and items to bring prior to the trip.  Registration is required by 8/1/24.  $15/Members and $18/Non-Members.  Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
