Description

This program has been cancelled.  Sorry for any inconvenience!

Situated between three lakes, Germain Hemlocks supports old-growth northern mesic forest dominated by large hemlocks with supercanopy white and red pines. The natural area is named in honor of Clifford E. Germain, first ecologist and coordinator of Wisconsin’s State Natural Areas Program, who helped protect many such places during his DNR career. We'll snowshoe 2 miles total on an out-and-back trail.

Registered participants will receive and email with more information and will meet at the Discovery Center and ride together in our van.  Registration required by 1/10/24.  Friday 9 AM - 1 PM.  $45/Member (Snowshoes No Charge), $55/Non-Member, $5 Snowshoe Rental to Non-Members.
