Canceled - Beaver Creek Hemlocks Fall Hike

Join North Lakeland Discovery Center (NLDC) and Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) staff for a guided hike at the Beaver Creek Hemlocks Conservation Area in Iron County.

According to Troy Walters, NWLT Outreach Coordinator, “This Northwoods Land Trust-owned property has pockets of old-growth hemlock trees, a unique wetland type (poor fen) surrounding a lake, views of Beaver Creek, and neat glacial landforms like eskers.  A hike at this time of year should also provide a colorful backdrop.”  Participants will be hiking approximately 2.5 miles of moderately difficult terrain utilizing a combination of trails and venturing off-trail as well to explore the flora and fauna on the property.

Friday, 12:30 - 3:30 PM.  Registration required by 9/29.  Registered participants will be emailed more details about the trip but should plan on meeting at the Discovery Center at 12:30 PM to ride out to the trailhead in our van.  Travel time to the trailhead is 30 mins. $30/Non-Member and $25/Member.
