*Cancelled* Hike Beautiful SNAs in Forest County: Pat Shay Lake, Franklin & Butternut Lakes

Join local naturalists and authors John Bates and Mary Burns for this wonderful hiking experience.  Forest County has 18 designated state natural areas, with a concentration of exceptional sites in an area east of Three Lakes.  We will head up to the Hidden Lakes Trail, hiking a portion of the 13-mile-long trail that wanders through the Pat Shay Lake SNA and into the Franklin and Butternut Lakes SNA.  Good hiking stamina is required. For this trip, we will cover 7 miles. 

If you register for this hike and the hike on the 14th you should consider camping overnight in the area, for more information contact Licia@discoverycenter.net.  Registered participants will be sent directions to the trailhead along with what to bring for the day.  *Location is just over one hour from the NLDC, 50 mins from Woodruff* Tuesday, 9 AM - 4 PM.  Registration required by 8/11.  This trip is sponsored by the Olson Family Foundation.  $75/Non-Member and $65/Member.
