Description

Join Manitowish Waters Historical Society (MWHS) member Kay Krans on a two-hour pontoon tour of Alder and Wild Rice Lakes. This trip will depart from Alder Lake and explore the rich histories of these lakes with a wealth of historic images. Discover the Native American trail networks, unique canal systems that linked the MW chain to Lac Du Flambeau, all phases of the logging era, a railroad spur landing, homesteads, early resorts, and businesses. Directions to the launch site will be sent to registered participants prior to the trip. Registration required by 7/5.  $60 ($55 members of the DC or MWHS).
