Leaders of Historic Preservation

The MWHS will be honoring people who have contributed significantly to the history of Manitowish Waters. The evening will begin with a Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) sign dedication outside followed by a talk by MWHS historian Kay Krans about the YCC camp at Statehouse Lake, the NLDC today. NLDC board member Tom Joseph will talk about plans for a new Northwoods Forest Historical Museum on the Discovery Center campus. The recognition awards will wrap up the night.  Beverages and appetizers will be provided with donations welcomed. This evening is open to the public.  Advanced registration appreciated.
