Nibbles n Knowledge: How to Harvest Honey

Join Discovery Center Water Program Director Jamie Van to learn all the ins and outs of beekeeping and harvesting that sweet sweet honey.  Starting with a background about honeybees and honey production, we’ll learn about hive components, when to harvest, and harvesting equipment. Then we will dive into how get the honey from the hive into the jar.  Enjoy an evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge.

We will serve light appetizers and have a cash bar from 5 – 6 pm, program will run 6 – 7 pm.  Registration required by 10/11. 

Program held at the North Lakeland Discovery Center Main Lodge.  $17 ($14 members) $20 at the door.
