Description

Join local historian Jim Bokern and a Discovery Center Naturalist on a fascinating hike through history along the old Milwaukee Road railroad grade that created the towns of Star Lake, Boulder Junction and Busswell.  We will explore the Milwaukee Road Railroad, historic logging, Native American travel routes, and the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps.  Habitat diversity is a hallmark of this hike providing numerous naturalist discoveries in a wild setting.  This is mostly an off trail, strenuous 4-5 mile hike with two wetland crossings, but will not disappoint!  Registered participants will receive an email with location and program details prior to the program.  Registration required by 10/7.  $35 ($30 members of NLDC or MWHS).

**Please bring a facial covering to wear when we cannot be socially distant from one another**  Please read our program and event registration and cancellation policy here.
