Description

Join NLDC director John Heusinkveld and Manitowish Waters Historical Society (MWHS) member Jim Bokern on a five-hour pontoon tour of the Turtle Flambeau Flowage. This trip will depart from Springstead Landing and explore the histories, rich natural beauty and resources of the 13,000 acre Scenic Waters Area. Some historic images bound for personal viewing will be shared to better illustrate the history and cultural traditions of the area. Bring a lunch and water. Transportation to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage launch site will be provided by the NLDC. $50 ($45 members of the NLDC or MWHS). Register by 7/16.  Saturday, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

PLEASE NOTE: Pontoon trips will have a max of 8 participants, along with a driver and program leader and it is required that you sign up in advance. It is also required that registered participants bring their own mask and wear it during the program, along with using hand sanitizer as you enter the boat. It will be best if you can sit with people you came with, socially distant from others (as best you can!). Participants will need to drive themselves to the start location of the trip (directions will be emailed prior to the trip). Do not come if you have had illness within 14 days of event (you will be able to receive a refund). NLDC reserves the right to cancel/refund if case levels significantly change and the program in deemed unsafe.

Please read our program registration and cancellation policy here.
