Explore the importance of trees and our local forests through hikes, activities and crafts.
Week Two: June 25 – 27 *Register by June 20
Theme Chapter: The Geese Return
Learn about our many unique winged creatures as we explore flight and migration.

Theme Chapter: Home Range
A careful reading of the landscape will tell much about who lives where and what is going on in the life of the animals. Explore the tracks and sign of the animals that call our landscape home.
Week Four: July 16-18 *Register by July 11
Theme Chapter: Come High Water
Create works of art with used and recycled items. Learn the importance of recycling and repurposing. Get creative!
Week Five: July 23-25 *Register by July 18
Theme Chapter: A Prairie Birthday or Draba
Learn the importance of native plants through activities and hikes. Hone your observational skills as we take a closer look at different habitats at the Discovery Center through the eyes of a bug.

Beauty in nature can be temporary and one should take time to notice it. Express nature’s beauty through writing and art.

Learn the importance of one of our natural resources, water. We will learn about the battle against AIS. Older groups will go fishing. Visit the bog, other types of wetlands?
