This is a Four-Part Series including Teas, Medicinal, Weeds and Invasives and Mushrooms

June 21 - Wild Edibles Series: TeasThroughout the summer we are exploring local wild edibles.  For this session, we will learn how to correctly identify, ethically harvest, and safely make delicious teas right from your backyard.

July 26 – Wild Edibles Series: Medicinal:Hear about ‘herbal lore’ and natural botanical medicines. Learn about how to identify, collect, prepare, and use common traditional healing plants found in the Northwoods.

August 16 – Wild Edibles Series: Weeds and InvasivesWho says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?  Common species like dandelions, purslane, and pigsweed are not only delicious and nutritious, but also free and easy to find!  We’ll talk about ethical collection, preparation and some tasty recipes to take advantage of these free ingredients.

September 1- Wild Edibles Series: MushroomsWe can all enjoy the delights of edible fungi. Learn the secrets of preparing, cooking and serving up delicious wild mushroom dishes!
