Summary

Contribute to science on shoreline restoration projects and the impacts on bird populations and habitat use. Mandatory training session for new surveyors. Returning surveyors need attend only the May 29 training.

Description

Part 1: May 7, 4:30-6pm. Project Introduction.  Auditory introduction of select survey species.  All participants receive a bird CD of select bird species.

Part 2: May 14, 8-10am. Indoor and outdoor auditory learning and bird song ID session. Focus on identifying songs in the field.

Part 3: May 29, 8-10am.  Review of the survey protocols and equipment. Includes in-the-field use and training.

$10.  Free for those conducting the survey.
