Description

The Discovery Center Bird Club is sponsoring a free program at the North Lakeland Discovery Center on the identification of birds that are commonly found in northern Wisconsin during the winter.
Please join Guy David from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday, December 2, 2011 for a program that will be sure to improve your ability to identify our winter birds. Using the Thayer Birding Software’s Birds of North America, the group will focus on identifying the birds that have been encountered in recent years by people who participate in the Minocqua Christmas Bird Counts and the Manitowish Waters Christmas Bird Counts.
Depending on participant interest or in case of bad weather on December 2, the bird identification program may be repeated at the same time on Friday, December 9, 2011.
The North Lakeland Discovery Center is offering their Free Friday Adventure Program from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on December 2 and 9 so interested persons might want to enjoy the outdoors outing and then participate in the bird identification program following the outdoor adventure.
If you are interested in participating in this free program, please contact Guy David via email at bgdavid@wildblue.net.
