What better way to expand your knowledge of the Northwoods than to get out in it and study it! We'll use the methods field ecologists use to conduct research studies, develop basic hypotheses, and dig into some of the theory behind it all. Topics may change according to weather and current phenological observations. Dress appropriately.

Description
Not all is gray and dark in the winter. Some plants stay green even when covered with snow. We'll learn about this interesting adaptation, take measurements on distribution and abundance, and set up a schedule to observe and post photos of these species throughout the year.
Be sure to register if you're planning to attend, there is a minimum of 5 participants to successfully carry out the study and measurements.
