What better way to expand your knowledge of the Northwoods than to get out in it and study it! We'll use the methods field ecologists use to conduct research studies, develop basic hypotheses, and dig into some of the theory behind it all. Topics may change according to weather and current phenological observations. Dress appropriately.

Description
There is so much more to snow than the white blanket we get to ski and snowshoe on each year. We'll do a snow profile study, learn about the thermal properties, layers, and how snowflakes influence the function of our snowpack each year. You'll never look at snow the same again!
