What better way to expand your knowledge of the Northwoods than to get out in it and study it! We'll use the methods field ecologists use to conduct research studies, develop basic hypotheses, and dig into some of the theory behind it all. Topics may change according to weather and current phenological observations. Dress appropriately.

Description
These amazing symbionts are all around us, yet most of us know little about them or what they can tell us about our environment. We'll start indoors, exploring current research and then will head outdoors to conduct some research of our own. You will walk away with a better understanding of what lichen are and their diversity and distribution in the Northwoods.
