Browse and bid on an array of items, experiences and getaways through both a silent and live auction. Donate to this year's Fund-A-Wish, in support of our growing and important Citizen Science Monitoring Efforts. From bats to birds and toads, we annually monitor and engage citizen volunteers in how to monitor these species and more. We need your support to continue these efforts. Join us for a simply wonderful, fun evening -- our largest gathering and fundraiser of the year. The BIG Event!

The BIG EVENT auction and dinner is your opportunity to join members and friends for a gala evening and provide financial support for this unique place. We depend on your generous support of our silent and live auctions, raffle and fund-a-wish to help us reach our 2011 goal of $25,000.  Items include get-aways to Florida, Colorado and Arizona; sporting tickets to Brewers and Badgers; artwork, garden and home decor; box office tickets to premier movie showings and live music; fine jewelry; kids items; and so much more!  The selection by a wide array of donors and sponsors is amazing, overwhelming and wonderful!

This year's Fund-A-Wish is in support of Citizen Science. The Center is the go-to place for Northwoods monitoring efforts. Did you know we annually monitor the natural world, and train citizen volunteers to collect data on birds, bats, butterflies, wolves, marten, raptors, loons, frogs, toads and salamanders and on lake levels, water quality, and invasive species?? Staff and volunteers carry out surveys and collect data and we then report the data to state and tribal agencies. They use this information to monitor nature's trends, informing us when something is amiss. These last two years, we received $15,000 and $10,000 respectively to support and build our monitoring programs. This year's grant funding is unavailable, but our monitoring efforts continue.

It is truly our wish that you will fund-a-wish, and allow us to give the time and resources needed to carry out this important work and citizen engagement.
