Manitowish Waters, a Wisconsin Bird City! - Adult (Bird Club)

Manitowish Waters has been designated a Wisconsin Bird City!

Manitowish Waters is one of an initial class of 15 towns designated by the Wisconsin Bird Conservation Initiative as a Wisconsin Bird City!  Join the Bird Club and representatives from the Town of Manitowish Waters, the Manitowish Waters Chamber of Commerce and the Discovery Center on Monday, December 6th, as they accept and celebrate this designation.  This special event begins at 6pm at the Manitowish Waters Community Center with desserts and refreshments followed by presentation of the award and comments by John Bates about birding opportunities in our area including the upcoming Christmas Bird Count.  Jim Krakowski guided the Bird Club and coordinated with area officials to submit a successful application for this new program.
