Weekend with Wolves Wolf Ecology Workshop

Hosted by Timber Wolf Alliance

Saturday and Sunday August 5-7, 2011. 

Held at the North Lakeland Discovery Center in Manitowish Waters, WI. 

Time will be spent in the classroom and in the field surveying wolf pack territories.

Participants will:

               - assist with wolf howling surveys

               - learn techniques in wolf tracking

               - learn techniques in radio telemetry  

               - meet the qualifications for becoming a DNR Volunteer Carnivore Tracker assisting with the winter wolf counts. 

Learn from the experts

Learn from the leaders in the field of research and tracking in the Midwest including:

- Adrian Wydeven and Ron Schultz, Wildlife Ecologists for the Wisconsin DNR

- Nathan Svoboda, PhD student on Michigan's predator/prey study

- Zach Wilson, Discovery Center Naturalist and Timber Wolf Alliance Coordinator
