Winter Beaver Trappping and Beaver Ecology Adult/Family 3/13/10

. Retired wildlife biologist and long-time trapper Jeff Wilson will lead participants on a snowshoe hike to an area beaver lodge to check his underwater traps. Beaver trapping has been an important part of Wisconsin ’s heritage and Jeff will demonstrate the importance of sustainable trapping. Following the hike will be a demonstration on how to properly skin a beaver. Preregistration required.
