Aquatic Invasive Species Snapshot Day

Join our Woods and Water team for a day in the field hunting down aquatic invasive species (AIS) in several of our Northwoods lakes. This is a state-wide effort that aims to collect a ‘snapshot’ of as many water bodies as possible across Wisconsin on Saturday, August 8, 2026.  We will start with a short lesson on how to identify AIS, then head out to the lakes to look for new, early sightings of these invaders. Searching can be done from shore, but we will provide waders for those willing to get deeper into the hunt.
