Edible Aquatic Plants

Many foragers spend most of their time collecting wild edibles in the field and forest, but have you tried foraging via canoe? Learn how to identify an array of aquatic plant species found in and around our local waters, what parts are edible, and how to prepare them in this wild edible program at the Discovery Center.

Space is limited and registration is required by 8/3/2026. Wednesday, 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM. This program is sponsored by a grant from Xcel Energy and is free of charge.  Participants will meet in the Forest Room at the Discovery Center.
