Van Vliet Lake Evening Paddle

Join us for an evening paddle on beautiful Van Vliet Lake. Join Discovery Center naturalists as we explore the natural shoreline along the Van Vliet Hemlocks State Natural Area as we head over to Averill Lake. This will be a slow moving, easy paddle (unless we have some wind), so some paddling experience is appreciated.

Space is limited and registration is required by 8/2/26. Registered participants will meet at the lake, directions and a list of what to bring will be sent before the paddle. Canoes/PFDs will be provided, although bringing your own vessel is an option. No bathroom at the landing. This program is generously sponsored by the Friends of VanVliet Hemlocks and is free of charge. Tuesday, 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM.
