Description
Who’s building dams, creating wetlands, and changing entire ecosystems? What does it mean to be an ecosystem engineer? Join us as we explore the fascinating world of beavers and discover how they shape the environment around them! Participants will engage in hands-on activities, games, and exploration to understand how beavers impact habitats, and enjoy a snack and story during this educational children's program. Parents should plan on dropping off their kids for the program and then returning at the end of the program for pick up.
Participants must be prepared to spend time outside, dressed for the weather, and bring a water bottle with them. Please note that Eco Explorers (ages 8-11) and Eco Discoverers (ages 4-7) will happen simultaneously, but the age groups will experience the programs separately.
Registration required by 07/28/2026. Thursday, 9:30 - 11:30 AM. $20/Non-Member and $16/Member. Participants can be dropped off in the Discovery Hall.
Please read our program and event registration and cancellation policy here.
