Join us at the North Lakeland Discovery Center from 5 to 7 pm on May 1 for The Buzz About Wisconsin's Mosquitoes with PJ Liesch. With more than 50 different mosquito species in the state of Wisconsin, these insects always seem to be buzzing about. In this talk, take a closer look at the lives of mosquitoes, their roles in the ecosystem, and options for managing them.
PJ Liesch, also known as The Wisconsin Bug guy, is the director of the UW-Madison Insect Diagnostic Lab and holds degrees in biological sciences and entomology.
Seating is limited to 75 guests, and hors d'oeuvres will be served by NLDC staff Don Anderson and Jenna Richardson, so bring your appetite. A minimum donation of $45 per person is requested, with all proceeds supporting future programs.
