Turtle Flambeau Flowage Historic and Naturalist Pizza Pontoon

Join Manitowish Waters Historical Society member Jim Bokern and NLDC Naturalist Hannah Thorpe on a sunset pontoon tour of the Turtle Flambeau Flowage (TFF). The trip will explore the history and the rich natural resources of the 14,000 acre Scenic Waters Area during the magical hours before sunset. Some bound historic images for personal viewing will be shared to better illustrate the history and cultural traditions of the area. 

Did we mention this trip includes pizza dinner on the boat from The Birches Resort? Bring your own beverage(s) of choice and your appetite! Registration required by 7/20/26 . $80/Non-Member and $75/Members of the NLDC or MWHS. (Price includes pizza dinner). Participants will receive an email with more information prior to the trip. Bathrooms available. Wednesday, 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM

In the event of inclement weather: If there is light rain predicted during the tour, we will most likely conduct the tour. However, if thunderstorms/torrential rain is forecasted on the date/time of your tour, we will call you at the phone number you provide when you register for the tour no later than 12:00 pm.
