Description
Join Frank B. Koller Library Director Callie as we reveal the latest story along StoryWalk Trail, Huck and Loona by Emily Kilgore. Huck and Loona love spending time together in the Great Northwoods. From cloud-watching to fishing, the two want to do everything together. When they realize they sometimes want to do different things or that there are some activities the other simply cannot do, they worry that their friendship is over. With themes of friendship, individuality, compromise, and grace, Huck and Loona equips children to embrace their uniqueness and communicate with others for healthy relationships that help them grow and thrive. This is a program that connects literacy and outdoor recreation by placing a children’s nature-themed story out along the trail. We will walk and read the new book together, followed by a fun craft! This program is intended for children ages 4-7. Parents are asked to stay with their children and participate.
Please register the child/children names only. Registration is required by 6/30/26. These programs are free of charge and are sponsored by the Shepherd/Howells Fund and the Frank B. Koller Memorial Library. Participants will meet at the Grand Pavilion at the Discovery Center. Wednesday 10 AM - 11 AM.
