Description
Join Naturalist Hannah for this practical, beginner-friendly program to learn how to raise chickens for meat in a backyard setting. Designed for small spaces, the program covers breed selection, brooding, housing, daily care, humane practices, and safe processing options. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to responsibly raise a small flock from chicks to freezer while being mindful of local regulations, animal welfare, and neighborhood considerations. You'll even get a chance to sample chicken raised by Hannah in 2025!
Space is limited and registration is required by 4/14/26. $12/Member and $15/Non-Member. Wednesday 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm.
