Explore the natural world through outdoor adventures. Depending on the season, we will hike, bike or tour in a van while learning from Northwoods experts – naturalists, historians, geologists – in an engaging, recreational approach to nature education.

Description

Join the Discovery Center on a trek down the North Country Trail that offers scenes of the beautiful Potato River and features 3 waterfalls early in the hike. This hike features very gradual inclines and includes naturalist-led interpretation on the area’s geology and ecological significance. A perfect hike for curious minds and waterfall chasers alike! Hike will be approximately 5 miles with variable terrain and rated as moderately difficult.

Registered participants will meet at the trailhead and will be shuttled back to their vehicle via the Discovery Center's van. Participants should plan to bring snacks/lunch/water and will receive additional hike details, including trailhead coordinates at least 2 days prior to the trip's departure. Saturday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. $45/Member and $55/Non-Member.
