Take a trip to the Discovery Center for exciting and educational activities that the entire family will love! Designed for nature-loving children of all ages, these interactive programs aim to inspire the next generation while creating lasting memories for everyone involved.

Description

Join a Discovery Center Naturalist as we reveal this month's book Batty for Change: Six Steps for Kids to Change the World. A class of six-year-olds discover how to be changemakers to help a much maligned animal that many see as creepy and detestable. Through a blend of story and factual information, this book shows how bats provide enormous benefits for us, and how children can be changemakers in six manageable steps.

Please register the child/children names only. Space is limited and registration is required by 10/17/25. These programs are free of charge and are sponsored by the Shepherd/Howells Fund. Participants will meet at the Teal Cabin at the Discovery Center. The first 10 families to register will received a copy of the book thanks to the generosity of the Shepherd-Howells Fund! Saturday 2 - 3 pm.
