Description

Learn what John Dillinger and his gang were really like and the “behind the scenes” story of their weekend in Manitowish Waters as we travel by pontoon to historic Dillinger sites. Enjoy a box lunch and tour the grounds of the famous Little Bohemia Lodge, the property that was featured in the movie Public Enemies. The tour is led by Manitowish Waters Historical Society (MWHS) member, Kay Krans. Lunch cost is included in the registration fee.

An email will be sent to registered participants with directions to the launch site and items to bring prior to the trip.  Participants will also be contacted in advance to choose their lunch option.  Lunch will be held 12:00-1:00 PM for both sessions of the tour.  Please note Little Bohemia is not open when the morning tour departs so there is no available restroom facility onsite.  You may wish to consider stopping at a public facility on your way to the landing!  Friday 9:30 am - 12:00 pm.

Registration is required by 6/11/25.  $75/Non-Member and $65/Member (NLDC or MWHS).  **YOU MAY REGISTER ONLINE OR CALL THE DISCOVERY CENTER TO REGISTER.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT LITTLE BOHEMIA TO REGISTER.

In the event of inclement weather:  If there is light rain predicted during the tour, we will most likely conduct the tour.  However, if thunderstorms/torrential rain is forecasted on the date/time of your tour, we will call you at the phone number you provide when you register for the tour no later than 8:00 am.
